PREPARATION


In a large bowl combine, flour, brown sugar, oats, baking soda, cinnamon and melted butter.


Press half to ¾ of cookie mixture in the bottom of a buttered 8×8” baking dish.


Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.


While base is cookings, place caramel squares and heavy cream in a large skillet over low-medium heat and bring to a boil. Lower heat once boiling, and continue to stir until caramels are completely melted and smooth *mixture will also darken DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED as caramel will easily burn


Remove cookie base from oven.


Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips and pour caramel over chocolate.


Crumble remaining cookie mixture.


Return to oven for 15-20 minutes until edges brown.


Cool completely allowing caramel to set. You can speed up the bars setting by placing in the fridge.


For a potluck or dessert tray each large bar can be sliced into 3 and store great in the fridge
